The British Origins of South-West Virginians by Jef Graham with special feature: Daniel Boone Meets William Preston: A play in one-act by Mark ‘Hiram’ Curtis

Join amateur historian Jef Graham and discover how 250,000 people, often referred to as “Scots Irish,” formed the largest movement of British people to the American Backcountry (now Appalachia) between 1720-1776.

Fact will be followed by (historical) fiction - enjoy a stage reading from Proclamation Theatre! In 1774, William Preston promoted Daniel Boone to Captain in the Fincaslte County Virginia Militia. Hear a depiction of events as Boone risked everything to open up the Kentucky frontier.

This event is free to attend!
