Call for Instant Photography Artists Miniatures in the Museum
December 7, 2026 – March, 26 2027
Introduction
The Montgomery Museum of Art and History is located in the former Bank of Christiansburg building, which was built in 1964. The building retains many original features including the steel safe deposit boxes in the main vault. Reusing these tiny historic spaces is the focus of this exhibit. Call for Instant Photography Artists
Are you one of those die hard analog type photographers who still cling to Polaroid cameras? Or maybe you have embraced instant photography with Fujifilm Instax cameras? Instant cameras have never gone away. The Montgomery Museum of Art & History is going to give your instant camera a shot at greatness, pun intended. Submit one of your favorite “instant photos” to be included in an upcoming exhibition in our Vault gallery.
The Vault gallery uses the existing safe deposit boxes as niches to display small works of art and the Museum wants to fill them with instant photos, Polaroid or Fujifilm Instax.
Photographs must have been taken with Polaroid or Fujifilm Instax cameras, old or new. You might still use your SX-70 or a new Polaroid Flip. You might have a Fujifilm Instax Mini. Any instant camera will do.
Please submit your photographs and make sure you have your name and contact information on the back of your photo. If you need a sticker we can help with that.
