Indian Run String Band

Founded in 2010, Indian Run String Band grew from a shared love of traditional Old Time music and a desire to bring those tunes to the wider community. What began as an informal collaboration among family and friends evolved into a community-centered band dedicated to preserving and performing traditional songs and fiddle tunes from across the region. Over the years, the group has included a rotating circle of musicians whose contributions have helped shape the band’s rich and welcoming sound.

Rooted in the musical traditions of the New River Valley, the band continues to celebrate the history, artistry, and community spirit of Old Time music through performances that honor both well-loved standards and lesser-known traditional pieces.
