Montgomery Museum has been given the opportunity to reprint and make available to Montgomery County citizens the following series of historical articles about the county, based upon personal knowledge of its people, buildings, and its participation in the affairs of Virginia and the nation. Most of these stories were written for publication in the Montgomery News Messenger and other local newspapers. They were saved and have come to the Museum from the diligence of Virginia Deal Lawrence, a retired school teacher
